An Italian olivewood endgrain cheese board is designed for serving, not prep, making it ideal for cheeses, dips, meats and other appetizers. The rectangular shape gives you space to create a spread that is easy to share and easy to style.
Endgrain refers to how the wood is oriented, showing the ends of the grain for a distinctive, block-like pattern. On an olivewood cheese board, it is a design detail that highlights the character of the wood.
No. Olivewood is richly grained and naturally varied, so each board has its own unique color and patterning. Those variations are part of what makes it so striking for serving.
Yes. This board works well for charcuterie-style spreads, small bites, desserts and bread with dips or olive oil. It is also a nice piece to leave out as a countertop accent when not in use.
Start with a few cheeses and add a dip or spread, then fill in with meats, fruit and crunchy accompaniments. Using the corners for small piles and the center for a focal cheese helps the board look intentional and easy to snack from.
