Nielsen-Massey Pure Almond Extract

Almond extract is best for adding a focused almond flavor to baked goods and sweet finishes without changing texture. Use it in cookies, cakes and pastries, or stir a little into frosting for a quick flavor upgrade. It also blends nicely with classic dessert flavors like vanilla, chocolate and caramel.

Start with a small amount of almond extract, then taste and adjust so it stays balanced. It is especially good in buttercream, cream cheese frosting and simple glazes where almond flavor can shine. Mix thoroughly so the flavor distributes evenly.

Almond extract pairs well with vanilla, chocolate and caramel, so it is easy to layer into brownies, blondies and cookie doughs. It also works well in baked goods where you want a warm, rounded aroma. If you are experimenting, add it gradually so it supports the main flavor instead of taking over.

An alcohol base is a common way to carry and preserve flavor compounds in extracts. In this almond extract, the alcohol base helps deliver the flavor from the natural botanic oils and makes it easy to blend into batters, doughs and frostings. The goal is a clean, consistent almond taste in your finished recipe.
