The coated metal flex-edge beater with silicone blade is designed to scrape the bowl as you mix. That built-in scraping helps pull ingredients from the sides into the center, so you donât need to stop as often to use a separate spatula.
This beater is made for 6-qt bowls. To confirm compatibility, check that your KitchenAid mixer uses a 6-qt bowl and that the beater style matches the shape and attachment of your current beater.
A flex-edge design scrapes as it mixes, which can help reduce streaks of unmixed ingredients on the bowl. Itâs especially helpful when you want to keep things moving without pausing to scrape down the sides.
Attach it the same way you would your mixerâs standard beater, then start mixing at a low speed to bring ingredients together. If you notice excessive rubbing or contact, stop and double-check that your bowl and beater are the right match for your mixer.
Follow the care instructions provided with your beater and mixer. In general, avoid harsh or abrasive cleaners that can damage coated surfaces, and clean it promptly after use to keep the silicone edge and coating looking their best.
