Global Universal Knife Sharpener in Black

Use the 2-stage stainless steel handheld knife sharpener in two steps: start with the coarse stage when an edge is dull, then move to the fine stage to hone and polish. Work with light, steady pressure and consistent passes so the edge is sharpened evenly. If your sharpener is a different finish, the same two-stage process applies.

Choose the coarse stage when a knife needs its edge replaced after getting noticeably dull. Use the fine stage for honing and polishing, especially for regular upkeep when your knife still cuts but does not feel as crisp as it used to.

A 2-stage handheld knife sharpener is a practical choice for keeping everyday kitchen knives ready for prep. It is especially helpful when you want a quick way to bring back clean cutting performance before cooking, without setting up additional sharpening tools.

The Global universal knife sharpener is designed for general knife sharpening, but results can vary depending on the blade you use it on. If you are sharpening different brands or knife styles, start slowly and check your edge as you go to find what works best for your knives.

How often you sharpen depends on how frequently you cook and how your knives are performing. Many cooks use the fine stage for ongoing maintenance and save the coarse stage for times when an edge has become truly dull and needs more correction.
