Escali Infrared Surface & Probe Digital Thermometer

The infrared surface and probe digital thermometer is designed for two common cooking checks: reading surface heat in infrared mode and checking internal temperature in probe mode. It’s especially useful when you want to preheat confidently, then verify doneness before serving.

Use infrared mode to measure the temperature of a surface, like a grill grate or a hot pan. Use probe mode when you need an internal temperature reading inside food to help confirm doneness.

Hold lets you keep a temperature reading on the display so you can note it even after you move the thermometer away. Min/max tracks the lowest and highest temperatures measured so you can see the range during a cooking session.

Audible alerts provide an extra cue that can help you stay on top of temperature checks while you focus on other steps. They’re useful when you want a clear signal without constantly watching the thermometer.

For surface readings, aim at the area you want to measure and take readings from consistent spots when you’re comparing temperatures. For internal readings, insert the probe into the thickest part of the food and avoid touching bone or the pan for a more representative result.
